Shift 2 Game Trailer

Nothing’s better than fast cars and faster audio

  • Advanced Editing

Much of the editing for this project involved using sensitive techniques like time compression and pitch shifting. As perspectives shift and change between different camera angles, notice the enhacing, shifting, and fading of different frequencies across the spectrum.

  • Creating the Environment

The only way to create realistic sounds is to fit them within the environment they appear to come from. With this project, it was necessary to edit sounds like animal roars and clanging metal to fit within the engines and racetrack crash of the scene.

  • Always Improving

While this project is considered finished, there are always moments when I feel I can go back to it with a newly obtained sound file. Especially as a short game trailer, I always aim to make it seem more realistic and professional, as if from a gaming company rather than an individual sound designer.
